Canasta uses two decks of cards and jokers and is usually played with four players split into two teams. Forming melds, or "canastkaise kheleas," with seven or more cards of the same rank is the goal. As they cooperate with their teammates to accomplish their objectives, players alternately draw and discard cards. Canasta's strategic depth is found in its focus on partner communication & teamwork.
